US-China Workshop: Smart Grid Research Opportunity Identification

Workshop Objectives

This workshop was a collaboration between Virginia Tech - Advanced Research Institute, USA and Southeast University, China. The objective of this workshop was to bring together academic and industry experts from both United States and China to identify joint research opportunities in smart grid. This workshop was organized as a follow-on activity to the first NSF workshop on “Identifying Challenges and Opportunities for large-scale deployment of the Smart Grid” held at Virginia Tech in the Washington, D.C., area on February 28-March 1, 2013. The participation of the US experts in this workshop was supported by a grant from the U.S. National Science Foundation. Local logistical support was provided by Southeast University.
